You may call me Patatties! I reside in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cybersecurity, scalable systems, AI and automation are my craft. I have spent quite some time wandering through the wonderful world of IT, gathering knowledge, experience and the occasional lesson learned the hard way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mind you, my knowledge may seem vast at times, but compared to the grand library of knowledge available at large, it would still amount to little more than a modest booklet. The same is true when I compare myself to some of the excellent people I have had the pleasure of working with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, I figured that little booklet deserved a place on the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This blog is where I collect some of the things I find interesting along the way: experiments, useful discoveries, clever solutions and, undoubtedly, the occasional rabbit hole I probably should not have ventured quite so far into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And so, this blog came to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, I decided to set my sights on the OSCP certification. Pentesting has long been part of my broader cybersecurity knowledge, but there are still plenty of gaps I would like to fill and skills I would like to sharpen. The OSCP gives me a fine excuse to do exactly that, while also earning a certificate that makes communicating those skills and experience considerably easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I am not tinkering with computers for work, there is a reasonable chance I am tinkering with computers for fun instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have sunk an impressive, and perhaps slightly concerning, number of hours into games such as Factorio and Satisfactory. There is something deeply satisfying about building a factory, watching it grow, finding its bottlenecks and rebuilding it into something faster, cleaner and more scalable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As it turns out, I tend to approach my work in much the same way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automation is therefore another subject rather close to my heart. At work as well as at home, I enjoy building workflows with n8n and making use of LLMs to perform reasoning and make decisions along the way.
